Job Summary:
The Portfolio and Benefit Realization Manager plays a pivotal role in evaluating, executing, and measuring the benefits of both strategic and non-strategic initiatives within the bank. This individual is tasked with developing and implementing frameworks for program and project benefits measurement and value management, aligning with the bank's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
-Benefit Realization for Strategic and Non-Strategic Initiatives:
-Develop and oversee a comprehensive benefit realization framework to identify, evaluate, track, and report on the benefits across all initiatives.
-Ensure the clear identification of benefits at the outset of projects, setting measurable targets.
-Implement tracking and measurement systems using KPIs, OKRs, and metrics tailored to each initiative.
-Provide detailed reporting on benefit realization to senior management, showcasing performance, challenges, and areas for improvement.
-Foster continuous improvement by incorporating lessons learned into the planning and execution of new projects.
-Facilitate collaboration across stakeholders to ensure a unified approach to benefit realization.
-Portfolio Management: Oversee the portfolio of strategic and non-strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with the bank’s strategic goals. Work in partnership with the S&TO for initiative prioritization based on strategic impact and benefit potential.
-Risk Analysis: Conduct thorough risk assessments for initiatives, identifying potential barriers to benefit realization and devising appropriate mitigation strategies.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is highly preferred.
-A minimum of 10 years of experience in strategic planning, portfolio management, and benefit realization, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
-Demonstrated capability in aligning strategic initiatives with organizational goals and managing a diverse portfolio of projects.
-Strong analytical skills, with expertise in financial modeling, performance measurement, and risk analysis.
-Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of engaging effectively with all levels of the organization and facilitating cross-functional collaboration.
